Summer Hill is situated in a beautiful, quiet countryside location just minutes from Nantwich & Crewe, we are easily accessible from all major routes in the area.

Summer Hill offers quality boarding for dogs and cats, plus doggy daycare during our normal opening hours. We have a professional dog grooming studio to keep your canine pals looking at their best, which offers everything from a quick bath to a full show-quality cut and blow-dry.

Summer Hill Pet Hotel & Spa is run by a dedicated team of animal lovers, so you can rely on us to take the utmost care of your pets while you are away.

Set in several acres of gardens and exercise paddocks, our purpose built kennels and cattery are first rate. Safety and cleanliness are paramount and we pride ourselves on making your pet's stay as much like a holiday as possible.

DOG AND CAT BOARDING

Both the kennels and cattery are purpose built to a high specification. Both are spacious and well maintained, providing a comfortable and safe place for your pets to stay. The cattery is situated away from the kennels.

Please read on for more details and feel free to visit us anytime during our opening hours for a tour; no appointment necessary! Please note, we close at 5 pm so the last time for a look around is 4.30 pm Monday to Saturday and 11.30am Sundays. We may not be open to the public on bank holidays.

DOG

ACCOMMODATION

Our dog accommodation has spacious sleeping quarters and private covered outside play areas. Thermostatically controlled warm air heating keeps things cosy in winter and cools in summer, so you know your dog(s) are always comfortable.

For larger dogs or families, we have a double-sized kennel which is suitable for up to four large dogs or lots of smaller dogs! This costs just £5 extra per day over the standard rates and gives your pets a lot of extra space to run around, plus there are two separate sleeping areas if desired.

We pride ourselves on cleanliness here at Summer Hill. In between guests, all units are scrubbed inside and out with a high-level virucide disinfectant cleaner. On a daily basis, all accommodation and runs are kept spotless with a thorough anti-bacterial cleaning regime so you can be assured that 'doggy' smell won't be present.

We exercise your dog(s) in our spacious grounds so they can stretch their legs. We also have enclosed exercise runs where dogs are allowed off lead to play ball and have a good sniff about.

Safety is paramount and we never mix dogs from different families, so you don't have to worry about them meeting an unfriendly dog face to face.

MEDICATION & SUITABILITY OF KENNELS FOR INFIRM DOGS.

If your dog is currently on medication we are happy to administer this at no extra charge. Please mention this when booking as we sometimes cannot cater for certain treatments.

Please also be aware that sometimes a kennel environment may not be suitable for some timid, infirm or immobile pets. While we always do our utmost to make your pets stay comfortable and rewarding, we reserve the right to refuse accommodation to a pet if we feel that we cannot provide a suitable environment while they are in our care. If you feel this may be an issue, please mention it when booking so we can discuss options with you.

FEEDING.

We feed a hypoallergenic dry food which is suitable for dogs with sensitive digestions. If you would prefer to maintain your pets home diet, please bring this along with you when you check in.

CAT

ACCOMMODATION

Our cat accommodation is comfortable, spacious and secure. Each unit is big enough for up to three cats and is built to the highest specifications with heated double glazed interiors and large individual fully covered outside play areas.

The units are set back and situated separately from the dog areas and are not visible to any of the dog runs. As with the dog accommodation, there are additional security corridors running alongside all units and everything is double locked in the evenings. As with our dog accommodation, the cattery is thoroughly cleaned each day and again in between guests.

If your cat requires any medication this can be safely administered by our staff at no extra cost. Please mention this when booking.

Doggy daycare at Summer Hill has just had a huge upgrade!

As well as their usual lead walks and play time with staff, we now offer an enhanced level of individual daycare with our new secure enrichment area, where you dogs can play and explore off lead.

Our fab new playzone is filled with toys and other activities, to mentally and physically stimulate your dogs throughout their day.

Daycare including the new facilities costs just £15 for one dog and £20 for two dogs.

Drop-offs are from 8.00am so you can get to work on time and pick-ups are before 5.00pm.

Day guests are allocated the same accomodation as overnight guests and do not mix dogs from different families. This arrangement can particularly suit dogs who do not get on in a traditional mixed daycare scenario.

Daycare is not available on Sundays and bank holidays.

Our fully qualified groomer Sarah manages our professional grooming studio to provide a bespoke, expert service.

With decades of experience including preparation and styling of show dogs, our groomers will discuss your requirements with you and advise on the best aftercare. This is especially helpful for dogs such as Labradoodles, which are now so popular but which have surprisingly difficult coats to maintain at home.

Our groomers use professional shampoos and take great pride in their work, and the care of your dogs is utmost.

The grooming studio is a spacious and relaxing space where they take time to ensure your dog is comfortable for their groom. If you are looking for a better groom and better service, why not give us a try?

Due to high demand please contact us well in advance to make your appointment and to discuss your grooming requirements. We have also introduced a re-booking system and we would encourage regular clients to make use of it so they can always get a convenient appointment.

Dogs in boarding can be groomed ready for when you collect them and boarders receive 10% discount too!
